Dawson Pediatrics is seeking a dynamic and reliable Practice Administrator. We are a Level 3 National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) - certified Patient-Centered Medical Home and a Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Better Performer practice of 6 providers in a growing community in North Georgia.
The Practice Administrator is expected to provide leadership and supervision of all aspects of a busy medical practice including, but not limited to, the following:
Develop annual budget, monitor cash flow and perform cost accounting analysis, monitor
overhead expenses, review and negotiate with vendors and business partners.
Establish internal controls for cash management, maintain processes for external financial
audits, prepare, monitor and analyze financial reports and statements for review with
managing partner and the practice’s accountant.
Establish and maintain the practice’s banking and investment relationships and actively
engage with payer networks and professional organizations.
Perform human resources functions including payroll processing, hiring and training
employees, updating practice policies, procedures, and employee manuals, conducting
performance reviews and promoting a safe, supportive, positive, and productive work
Ensure compliance to all mandated laws, regulations, professional requirements for
providers, support/ancillary staff, and adherence to appropriate coding, billing, HIPAA,
OSHA, CLIA rules and regulations.
6. Recommend, develop, and implement improvements in clinical workflow efficiencies,
enhancing and maintaining the practice’s reputation and influence, and achieving the
strategic goals that will align with and meet the vision and mission of the practice.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or similar program.
**Significant relevant experience along with MGMA Certification for Medical Practice
Executives in lieu of formal college education may be accepted.
3+ years’ experience in a medical practice environment is preferred.
Proficient in computer programs and applications needed to perform job functions.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and communication skills.
Good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations and
make critical decisions
Able to maintain confidential information.
A consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
